Sculpting project: Officer

So here's another sculpt I have been working on for a long time. It's my first human-shaped sculpt and it shows. Having decided it's time to learn to sculpt I started bending a frame for my new soon-to-be mini out of steelwire.

As I got the body of the mini somewhat figured out, I chose it to belong to an officer. To what type of an officer, is yet to be decided. I thought an officer might provide a great context for many imaginary details and what ever might pop into my head. I'll have to get to some kind of a conclusion about the final looks when it is time to add the details.

Since I'm not following any strict plan when sculpting this mini, it has been a great way to just train sculpting and test my skills and pushing my limits. So far I'm satisfied on the way the mini looks and can't wait to start working on the details.

As you can see in the picture, the officer is still lacking his hands and his head, don't know how they will come out :)

Any comments and feedback would be nice and needed.

Sculpting project: Wyvern - Update!

The Wyvern, which originally was supposed to be just a quick training project, has been laying around my work desk unfinished and forgotten. So today I decided to do something about it. I took my putty and started sculpting. I can tell its progressing slowly but I believe, some day, I will have a selfmade wyvern complementing my small horde of greenskins :) So here's the wyvern:

I know, there is still a lot to do.

Sculpting project: A Wyvern!

Just started working on a new sculpting project, a wyvern for my little horde of greenskins. Being a kind of a training project, I´m not (propably) going to spend much time working on it yet I have high expectations. The result will not be like the original Wyvern sold in stores, but an incarnation of my own image of a wyvern. This one will have a long neck and the wings will be very close to the feet. I only have added a little putty on the skeleton, so I'll just share this pic of the situation before adding some meat around the bones. You'll hear from this!

I have been lazy with my other projects including Yu Jing, I guess I'm gonna have to play some more Infinity to get the mood on.
